Florida Chi to receive full charter from Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

On March 21, 2025, the Florida Chi Emerging Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at UTampa received a unanimous vote in favor of their official charter from the National office of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

"We could not be prouder of our brothers," said Trevor Sandler, Eminent Archon for the Florida Chi Emerging Chapter, "as we have accomplished so much in such a short amount of time." Sandler continued, " The past 7 months have been an incredible whirlwind of public service and philanthropy that benefits the Tampa Bay community." Brother Sandler stated, "We've learned so much about effective chapter management, leadership, health and safety standards, financial oversight, alumni relations, and everything needed to be a successful fraternity of Sigma Alpha Epsilon."

"The Sigma Alpha Epsilon National office puts every Emerging Chapter through a rigorous examination of all the elements of strong chapter leadership," said Ryan Stimson, Eminent Deputy Archon for Florida Chi, "as each Emerging Chapter follows a highly structured 4-step evaluation process." Brother Stimson continued, "We were required to submit a thorough 164-page charter request proposal and make a 90-minute PowerPoint presentation to a highly accomplished investigative team." Ryan concluded, "Upon our written and oral presentations, the Supreme Council of SAE takes a deeper evaluation of both presentations, and votes on whether our Florida Chi charter request bid will move on to the vote from the 'realm' throughout the country."

"I am happy to report the Florida Chi chapter has passed the evaluation process with flying colors," said Mark Turner, Florida Chi's Chapter Advisor, " and the realm of SAE has voted unanimously in favor of bringing the Florida Chi chapter into Sigma Alpha Epsilon." Brother Turner stated, " I am certain these undergraduates will live up to the standards set forth by the fraternity." Mark concluded, "The future is very bright for the Florida Chi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at UTampa for years to come."
