Greek Week at UTampa teams up all the fraternities and sororities together to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Events throughout the past week included a series of fun, light-hearted and entertaining team sports to help raise money for the children. Some of the sporting adventures included dodgeball, bubble soccer, tug-of-war, sidwalk chalk, and the"Greek Variety Show" grand finale.
"I'm happy to say our team won first place in the Greek Variety Show finale, and a second place overall for the week," said Jake Juliano ('26), Team Captain for the Florida Chi Emerging Chapter. Juliano continued, "but the real winners were the kids, as Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Delta Zeta, and Sigma Phi Epsilon worked together as a team to raise $61,112 for the kids of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Brother Juliano summarized, "Once again, Sigma Alpha Epsilon puts the 'fun' in fundraising."
"It was a great week for the Florida Chi Emerging Chapter," said Eminent Archon Trevor Sandler ('25), "I believe this week made us closer as a brotherhood and helped build our name around campus." Brother Sandler stated, "I believe all of our 58 brothers were involved throughout the week." Sandler concluded, "There were so many events, all the brothers had a chance to participate, watch some of the events, get to know our fellow Greek brothers and sisters and raise money for a great cause."
