On September 22, 2024, the development of the Florida Chi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at UTampa is off and running. The first few meetings are critical in the shaping of the fraternity. This includes the adoption of Minvera's Laws for health and safety standards, committee heads are assigned, FSL meetings were designated, By-Laws discussed, and decisions were voted on for dues structure, and GPA Standards. The brothers also accepted 5 new brothers into the realm of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
"This was a very productive meeting," said new Eminent Archon Trevor Sandler, "and I am happy to see the high level of engagement from all the brothers." Brother Sandler continued, "Our goal is to be chartered by the end of this academic year;" said Sandler, "We've set a high standard for ourselves and I feel this group of men have what it takes to get the job done now."
Pete Engle, the Emerging Chapter Services Consultant from the SAE National office stated, "These brothers have taken on the responsibility of effective chapter management with great enthusiasm." said Brother Engle, "This level of passion and commitment is just what every emerging chapter needs," Engle continued, "and geting the framework of building a fraternity together right away will be the foundation the Florida Chi Chapter builds upon long into the future."
The Chapter Advisor to the Florida Chi Chapter, Mark Turner, stated: "I am impressed," said Turner, "as these men are taking on the many leadership roles available within the Chapter, and working with great zeal to make becoming a chapter a reality as quickly as possible." Brother Turner continued, "They have the full support of the Alumni brothers of the Florida Chi Alumni Association."
