The emerging Florida Chi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at UTampa has added 9 new brothers to the first recruitment class in over 30 years. The second initiation of this semester was held Tuesday night, October 15th at the Sykes Chapel and Center for Faith and Values at the University of Tampa.
"We had a setback with both Hurricane Helene and Milton," said Eminent Archon Trevor Sandler, "but I am happy to report that tonight's second initiation has brought our recruitment class to 47 new emerging brothers." Sandler stated, "Our goal of chartering our chapter in this term is still in sight," he continued, "and with the energy and enthusiasm of these newly initiated brothers, I am confident we will exceed all expectations."
"I've been working with these men for the past 7 weeks," stated Chapter Advisor Mark Turner, "and their commitment to doing everything the right way is unsurpassed." Turner said, "These men are unfazed and determined to deliver the chapter charter as fast as possible." Turner continued, "These men have the fortitude to set goals and do what it takes to meet their objectives." Turner stated, "You can't teach that level of tenacity"
The Florida Chi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon was originally founded on campus at the University of Tampa on October 23, 1982, and thrived as a chapter on-campus for nine years. The Florida Chi Alumni Association has been working diligently for the past 12 years to bring our chapter back to our Alma Mater.
