On Friday, September 6th, the Sigma Alpha Epsilon National Office hosted a dinner for 20 UTampa students and potential brothers at the "King's Room" of the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City. As part of the dinner, a select number of local alumni were asked to attend and speak about what SAE has meant to them.
"This was an incredibly successful event." said Anthony Mack ('11), a consultant for the National Office of Sigma Alpha Epsilon." Mack continued, "Communication and open dialog between alumni and brothers is a key component in the development of all chapters," added Brother Mack," and the alumni offered both their expertise and experience to show them what it means to be a 'True Gentleman.'"
Mark Turner, Chairman of the Florida Chi Alumni Association, stated, "I cannot thank the local alumni enough for their involvement in this event." Brother Turner continued, "Helping to guide these students by example is the cornerstone of every Alumni group," said Turner, "and each alumni brother spoke from the heart about the positive effect of being an SAE has meant to them throughout their lives."
The Florida Chi alumni in attendance included E.J. Foody ('87), Bret James ('91), Don Kunian ('92), and Mark Turner ('83). Also in attendance was Cason Parker ('10), a USF graduate and Florida Delta brother, who has served as Advisor to the Florida Chi Alumni Association.
