This article reviews Marty and his wife Kate's journey to their incredible level of success in the gummy vitamin business. Kate and Marty indentified a need, fought through years of adversity, and ultimately redefined the vitamin industry. Today, the gummy vitamin industry exceeds $7 billion in annual sales.

In February of 2024, Brother Rifkin and wife Kate were recognized with the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award from the John P. Lowth Entrepreneurship Center at UTampa. In addition, Brother Rifkin was honored to be invited as the keynote speaker at the Commencement for UTampa's Graduating Class of 2024.

Marty Rifkin was the original founder of the Florida Chi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at UTampa. Rifkin was key in starting the chapter, served as our first Eminent Archon, recruited the entire first class of founders, and was the main cog in bringing the fraternity active on-campus from 1979-1982. Brother Rifkin was an strong proponent for bringing the Florida Chi Chapter back to UTampa this Fall. Currently, the Florida Chi emerging chapter has grown to 47 brothers in the first "Phoenix Chapter" recruitment class in over 30+ years.

Dean A. Koutroumanis ('89 MBA '91), associate director of the Lowth Entrepreneurship Center said, "their tenacity, perseverence, and honesty about their struggles resonated with the students the most." Koutroumanis stated, "These students can relate because these alums walk the same streets and have been on the same property," Koutroumanis continued, "That's a big deal, because they can see anything is possible with anybody."
